Hailing from a farm in western NSW, Fanny Lumsden is ‘a breath of fresh country air’ according to Rolling Stone Magazine. Fanny was named QANTAS New Talent Of The Year at the recent CMAA Golden Guitar Awards in Tamworth and New Artist of the year at the Country Music Channel Awards. Her debut crowdfunded record 'Small Town Big Shot' was produced by award winning Matt Fell, debuted at #6 on the ARIA Chart and went on to be nominated for Best Country Album at the 2016 ARIA Awards. All three of her singles from the record have reached #1 on CMC with her single Land of Gold reaching #3 on the CMC top 100 for 2016 and gaining the highest Australian placed film clip for the year. With three golden Guitar nominations and three CMC Award nominations, it’s no wonder ‘I love Fanny’ is the words on everyone’s lips.
No stranger to the road, 2016 saw Fanny and her right hand man Dan Stanley Freeman drive over 60,00 kms living in their little old caravan, playing shows from Tasmania to Broome and back again, and then heading straight back out on the road for festivals and their sold out 5th Annual Country Halls Tour.
As The Music put it, Fanny has "never failed to leave an imprint on an audience by way of her personality and performance." It’s cracking alt country with a whole lot of heart.
